A doctor-performed treatment for the appearance of cheek volume loss and skin quality in the cheek area. M1 Med Beauty offers two treatment approaches. Free consultations.
M1 Med Beauty offers two approaches for hollow cheeks. For some patients the first approach alone addresses the primary concern. For others, combining both is more appropriate. Your doctor will assess which is right for your face at consultation.
A doctor-performed volumising treatment places volume in precise points in the cheek area to restore the structure that has been lost. This can lift the mid-face and reduce the hollow or concave appearance. An initial result is often visible at the appointment and may develop further over the following days. Results from this approach typically last up to six months, after which the treatment can be repeated.
A skin booster treatment focuses on improving the quality of the skin over the cheeks rather than adding structural volume. It is placed in a fine, distributed pattern across the area to improve hydration, support collagen activity and refine the skin’s texture and elasticity. It can be used alongside the volumising treatment, or on its own for patients where skin quality and texture are the primary concern. Your doctor will discuss what results are realistic at consultation.
Where both volume loss and skin quality are concerns, combining the two treatments at the same appointment can give a more complete result. The volumising treatment addresses the structural depth; the skin booster may work on the skin itself. Your doctor will advise at consultation whether the combination is appropriate for your specific situation.
Individual recovery experiences vary. Some mild swelling or tenderness in the cheek area may occur in the days following treatment and generally settles on its own.
Your doctor will provide personalised aftercare instructions before you leave.

A doctor-performed volumising treatment can restore the structural support beneath the skin by placing volume in precise points in the mid-face. For patients where skin quality is also a concern, a skin booster treatment can complement the volumising approach. Your doctor will assess your cheeks at consultation and advise which option or combination suits your specific situation.
For the volumising approach, results typically last up to six months, after which the treatment can be repeated. For the skin booster approach, longevity varies and your doctor will advise at consultation.
Both treatments relate to the cheek area, but they may be considered for different clinical presentations and treatment goals.
Hollow cheeks treatment focuses on concerns relating to the appearance of cheek hollowing and mid-face volume loss.
Cheek augmentation is a broader term that may be used when assessing cheek contours, including cases where changes in cheek shape, definition or mid-face proportions are being considered.
There is overlap between the two approaches. A doctor will assess your facial anatomy during consultation and determine which treatment approach, if any, may be appropriate for your individual circumstances.
